The Pokemon of the week is Raichu!
Raichu is a mouse-like electric type that was released in the first generation of Pokemon. It is the evolved form of Pikachu. Pikachu evolves when exposed to a thunder stone. Raichu is classified as the mouse Pokemon. The “Omega Ruby” Pokedex states that if the electrical sacs become excessively charged, Raichu plants its tail in the ground and discharges. Scorched patches of ground will be found near this Pokémon’s nest. The “Alpha Sapphire” Pokedex says that this Pokémon exudes a weak electrical charge from all over its body that makes it take on a slight glow in darkness. Raichu plants its tail in the ground to discharge electricity.
Raichu is an interesting Pokemon to use competitively. One set to use is the Nasty Plot Set. It has a timid nature with the lightning rod ability and the life orb. Move set is Nasty Plot, thunderbolt, hidden power (ice), and encore. But encore can be replaced with grass knot and hidden power (ice) can be replaced with focus blast. I used this set one time and I encored a raticate into sucker punch and just nasty plotted up. It was a fun battle!
Raichu is such a cute Pokemon and it’s fun to use in battle. I suggest using it if you can. It’s fun and definitely worth it!
