So What’s The Deal with Linked Horizon?

Linked Horizon has been a group that I always felt had a pretty great sound to them, and I occasionally went back into some Sound Horizon stuff from time to time. But with the release of Attack on Titan season two and the inevitable new opening by Linked Horizon, I started to see comments like “this sounds familiar”, “haven’t I heard this before?”, and “why does this new opening sound like the other ones?”. Here’s the answer, compiled from a bunch of different things I found in comments sections, to reddit threads, to just listening to the songs by myself and talking with others. Here’s the problem with Linked Horizon’s current music.

 

Attack on Titan is owned by Wit Studio, Tetsurou Araki, Hajime Isayama and all those lost that day to the Titans.
