A new Pokémon anime spin-off called “Mega Evolution: Act 1” will be airing in early April in Japan. The spin-off seems to be centered around Mega Evolutions and a new main character, Alan. There also seems to be an appearance of the Kalos Elite Four member, Siebold. It’s refreshing that Gamefreak has decided to take a step back from Ash and co. and is making more mature spin-offs like Pokémon Origins. What do you think? Is this a new era in Pokemon anime? Or just a one time ploy to boost popularity?
