Warner Bros. has officially confirmed that they are making a “Justice League” movie with Zack Snyder, the director of “Man of Steel”, as the director. They have confirmed that they’ll begin production after “Batman Vs Superman” hits theaters May 6th, 2016. The president of Warner Bros. worldwide production, Greg Silverman, says “It will be a further expansion of this universe [and] Superman Vs Batman will lead into Justice League.” The movie will be released sometime after the “Man of Steel” sequel.
Not only that, Warner Bros. is talking about (finally) creating a Wonder Woman movie and starting up the franchise. If Gal Gadot does a good job with her role in the “Batman Vs Superman” movie, her own movie won’t be out of the question. Sue Kroll, Warner Bros. president of worldwide marketing, says “That is our hope. With the right script, that could be viable. The world is ready for her.”
Does that mean that DC is finally getting their crap together? Well, none of these movies will be released for another 2-4 years. It’s a little late for DC to finally give the representation that females deserve in this medium. Marvel has already done so well with their strong female leads. What do you guys think?
